We woke up to the sound of pouring rain. It had been pouring rain the week before we came, but since the day we arrived we had blue skies and 70 degrees. But today - not so. Every morning we had a lovely breakfast buffett and these cinnamon rolls were at every breakfast. This is one of the things the Swedes are known for is their cinnamon rolls.

Today we decided we wanted to see City Hall. City Hall is where they now have the Nobel Prize dinner (the first few years it was at the Grand Hotel where we were staying.) We called for an Uber and headed out in the pouring rain to City Hall. We had bought our tickets ahead of time for a 1:00 tour.

Stockholm City Hall, with its spire featuring the golden Three Crowns, is one of the most famous silhouettes in Stockholm. It is one of the country’s leading examples of national romanticism in architecture. The City Hall was designed by architect Ragnar Östberg and is built from eight million bricks. The 106-meter tall tower has three crowns, which is the Swedish national coat of arms, at its apex. Behind the magnificent facades are offices and session halls for politicians and officials, as well as splendid assembly rooms and unique works of art. Stockholm’s municipal council meets in Rådssalen, the Council Chamber.
The great Nobel banquet is also held at City Hall. After dinner in Blå Hallen, the Blue Hall, Nobel Prize laureates, royalties, and guests dance in Gyllene Salen, the Golden Hall, with its 18 million gold mosaic tiles.
When we were in the room where the City Counsel met, the tour guide said there was the left, the right and the opposition. I want to look that up some more. What exactly is the opposition?
After the tour we took an Uber to Prinson to eat. I really wanted Swedish meatballs again. This was the same restaurant that Dave had gotten us some to go food a night or two ago. Again it was pouring. We were seated at a table two about 6 inches from another table of 2 on each side of us. It's interesting trying to hold a conversation when you are seated so close to the next guest. The lady on my right just joined in our conversation and asked us about us, etc.

| Found it interesting how they stacked the rolls |

| Our Uber driver let us out in the rain and said the restaurant is down this street. |

Once again we called for an Uber back to the Hotel and I thought it would be nice to have an Irish coffee so we sat down in the Grand Hotel bar and ordered drinks and appetizers.

Before I forgot I wanted to get a photo of the fresh flowers that were in the lobby and on every floor of the hotel. We were told the Hotel has it's own florist. That's a "hotel" job and that they bring in fresh flowers every two or three days.
It was truly a magical time in Stockholm.
Our trip home was uneventful. We got to sleep all of the night of the 5th and then go to the airport early on Monday, May 6th and about 20 hours later have it still be Monday when we arrived home in Grand Junction and we were able to go straight to bed so we could be at work the next day.
Our Staff did a great job without us. The best ever. This has been our desire is to build a Staff that can run the business without us for a week or two at a time, so that we could travel and they proved they could do that. We are very thankful for each one of them.
Now we have about 10 days at home and then we head to Italy.
